1. Overview
This Billing Policy explains how subscriptions, payments, and invoices work at DentAIstudy. It should be read together with our Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, and our Pricing page.
2. Merchant of Record
DentAIstudy may use a third-party reseller or merchant of record (such as Paddle or a similar provider) to process payments. This means the platform acting as the reseller:
- Collects and handles your payment securely;
- Issues invoices and receipts;
- Applies any required VAT/GST or regional taxes;
- May appear as the seller on your bank or card statement.
Your payment information is processed securely, and DentAIstudy never stores or has access to your full card details.
3. Subscription billing
Paid plans (for example, a Pro subscription) are billed in advance for the selected period (monthly or yearly). Pricing may change in the future, but any changes will apply only to future billing cycles.
Automatic renewal
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account settings; cancellation prevents future charges but does not refund the current active period.
4. Taxes and currency
Prices may be shown in USD or converted by your payment provider. Depending on where you live, VAT, GST, or other local taxes may be added automatically by the payment processor according to local laws.
5. Failed or declined payments
If your bank, card, or payment provider declines a renewal charge, the system may automatically:
- Retry the payment several times;
- Send you an email asking to update your payment method;
- Temporarily limit access to Pro features until payment is resolved.
If payment is not resolved within a reasonable time, your subscription may automatically downgrade to the free plan (if available).
You can update your payment method at any time through the secure billing portal provided by our payment processor.
6. Billing errors
If you believe you were incorrectly charged or received an invoice that looks wrong, please contact us promptly so we can investigate. For billing support, you may reach us at:

7. Chargebacks and disputes
Opening a chargeback with your bank instead of contacting us first may lead to temporary or permanent restrictions on your DentAIstudy account while the dispute is reviewed. We strongly encourage you to contact us before filing a chargeback.
8. Pricing changes
We may update subscription pricing in the future. If you are already subscribed, any price change will take effect on your next renewal. Where legally required, we will provide advance notice by email or via the website.
9. If local law requires different rules
Nothing in this Billing Policy overrides any mandatory consumer or payment protection rights you may have under the laws of your jurisdiction. In case of conflict, the applicable law will apply.
